Buying made-to-measure uPVC French doors
Every door set here is made to the size of your opening, with the frame, two opening doors and double glazing included. Pick a colour above, then choose the opening direction, glazing, threshold and handles on the product page. Prices start at £499 in white and £649 in a colour, and the price updates as you choose options.
Which colours can I choose?
White French doors are the most popular. You can also choose Anthracite Grey, Black, Agate Grey, Chartwell Green, Irish Oak, Golden Oak and Rosewood. Colours come on the outside with a white inside, or on both sides. See them all in our colour guide.
How long do they take?
White and most colours take about 2 weeks to make. Irish Oak and Agate Grey take about 5 weeks. Need doors sooner? Our in stock French doors come in fixed sizes and are delivered in about 7 days. The lead times page always shows the current times.
Which door should open first?
French doors have a master door that opens first and a slave door held by bolts. Decide which side you walk through most, and whether the doors open in or out, before you order. Our guide to French door opening direction explains the choices.
What if my opening is wider?
Add fixed glass side panels instead of making the doors wider, which keeps each door a sensible weight. Compare the French doors with side panels range and read how to choose the layout and measure.
How do I measure?
Measure the opening brick to brick in at least three places, use the smallest size and take 10mm off for fitting. Never measure the old frame. Our measuring guide covers every step, and what to check before you order lists the details people often miss.
Are they energy efficient?
Every door meets the 1.8 W/m²K U-value required by Building Regulations, and you can upgrade to thermal spacer bars for 1.4 W/m²K. See energy ratings and U-values.
How is delivery done?
We deliver to the UK mainland every week on our own racked vehicles, for £90 per order. You get your delivery date when you order and a 2-hour time slot on the day. Read the delivery details and the shipping policy.
